A statewide public health program in the California Department of Health Services. Maintains the Diabetes Information Resource Center, a portal to help organizations exchange information and tools to support their work to prevent or control diabetes or other chronic diseases.

- Wellness Partnership for a Healthy McKinley County
This project involved an innovative education program that used high school students to mentor elementary students in diabetes prevention techniques with the goal to improve the wellness of the community by developing healthy living skills in the 10-to 12-year-old population, and specifically to incorporate diabetes awareness activities into this target group's school day.

Developing and Adapting a Family-based Diabetes Program at the U.S.-Mexico Border
The University of Arizona and two community health agencies on the Arizona border, Campesinos Sin Fronteras and Mariposa Community Health Center, collaborated to design, pilot and assess the feasibility of a lay health-outreach worker (promotora) to delivered diabetes education program for families.
