  • Angel Flight West: A Higher Level of Kindness
    Angel Flight West provides free, private air transportation for people with medical and other needs.
  • Divide Wellness Center
    El Dorado County Public Health Department established the Divide Wellness Center to provide comprehensive and integrated health and social services to the community.
  • EMS Co-op Helps Rural Providers
    Using the power of group purchasing within a cooperative structure, the North Central EMS Cooperative (NCEMSC) is an Emergency Medical Services (EMS) cooperative developed to serve Minnesota and surrounding states.
  • Healthy Families / Familias Saludables
    Four chronic conditions have been particularly debilitating for U.S. Hispanics: diabetes, hypertension, high blood cholesterol, and depression. Familias Saludables was designed to address these conditions through prevention, education, and early intervention, using a family-centered intervention model.
  • Project for Rural Access to Substance Abuse Treatment
    This collaboration was formed to provide substance abuse treatment, primary medical care, childcare, and transportation assistance to residents in rural areas of the county.
  • Sierra Mobile Clinic
    Because the Western Slope of El Dorado County includes several isolated, rural communities - none of which were large enough to support a medical practice, the El Dorado County Public Health Department and Marshall Hospital joined forces to create the Sierra Mobile Clinic to offer these communities primary and urgent medical care.
